FTP and WinSCP

For those needing FTP access to atelierten.com, the first step is to submit a ticket requesting credentials.

The program we have for accessing FTP hosts is WinSCP. You should be able to find it on your computer. Filezilla has been dropped due to lack of reliability.

Configuring WinSCP

Open the program and you should be presented with the Login screen

To configure FTP for atelierten.com

Highlight “New Site” from the left pane
Use the same settings as seen here and make sure to click “Save”
File protocol: FTP – Encryption: No encryption
Host name: www.atelierten.com – Port number: 21
User name: user@atelierten.com – Password: password

To configure a connection for a client

Highlight “New Site” from the left pane.
Set the file protocol to “FTP”
The rest of the information should be provided by the client. If they don’t mention “Port number,” leave it at 21. If they don’t mention “Encryption” type. Try all three options
If you need assistance, please submit a ticket
Make sure to click “Save”

Using WinSCP

From the Login screen
Select the connection from the left pane and click “Login”

Now the main screen is visible with your files on the left pane and the FTP files on the right. Simply drag files between to upload or download

If you’d like to switch FTP hosts, go to “Session > Disconnect”

To quit the program, just click the X
If you close out of the Login screen, it too quits the program
